Business Improvement - a set of Lean tools and techniques designed to improve the performance of business in the construction industry.

Lean Training - a series of training and development programmes designed to improve the standard of lean awareness and capability within the construction industry.

The 'lean common approach' has been developed across many industry sectors across the UK and worldwide. The Lean philosophy stems from the manufacturing sector and is designed to improve business and operational performance in the key area of quality, cost and delivery.

Since the late 1990's in the UK, other industry sectors have been actively encouraged by Government and Best Practice organisations to adopt the principles of lean in recognition of the notable impact in manufacturing. In response to this and Sir John Egan's 'Rethinking Construction' (1998) report, the construction industry collaborated to develop a set of tools and techniques based on the lean common approach for construction.

At Room4 we have developed our own brand of lean intervention known as lean4construction.
